Am I Wrong?????????....?

the college i plan on attending is need based and goes by parents incom. My parent are divorced and my dad only pays child support. My mom's income is only 23,000 with child support included and my dads income is 160,000. for the college i plan on attdending, i would only have to pay 4,000 a year if i went on my moms income, who would be the one helping me in college, but since we have to include non cutodial parents income when applying for financial aid i now have to pay 38,000 because they included my fathers income. I informed my dad of this and how much i would have to pay because his income had to be included, and i told him what i would pay if his income had not been included and he said he could only pay 15,000. he is always bragging about how much money he makes, but i cant understand how my mom is willing to pay almost 20% of her income but he isnt. Should i be mad that he isnt willing to pay more, even though he is the reason why the cost is so high? Also this isnt the first time something like this happened, he always brags to everyone how much money he makes an for my sixteenth birthday my mom and my dad where supposed to go in half on everything but she ended up paying for my party, which was a thousand and something, and he ended up buying me a car which my mom had no idea he got until he showed up at my party with a 2001 mustang that he said was3,000 and that ahd messed up brakes that my mom ended up paying 500 to get fixed and that has a broken meter. he claims that was the best he can do but later on that year he goes and buys an s-class hardtop convertible mercedes. dont get me wrong he is supportivvve and sends me 20 or 40 dollars every now and then when i call and ask him for it. I just feel that he shoould be willing to pay more for my college education. Am i wrong for feeling like this?
